We're excited to announce some new features in TrueContext that will enhance your field user experience and streamline your workflows.
Default Map Views: TrueContext now allows you to set default map views tailored to your specific needs. If your field users identify their sites by landmarks or existing structures, the Satellite Map View may be the best default option. For those working in urban areas on inspections where road and building names are essential, the Standard Map View may be most useful. If you need a combination of both, the Hybrid Map View provides the flexibility you require.

Coordinate Display Options: We understand the importance of consistency, especially when it comes to coordinating information between systems. That's why TrueContext now gives you the ability to set how coordinates display on your field users' devices.
Coordinate Display:
Decimal Degrees | Degrees and Decimal Minutes | Degrees, Minutes, and Seconds |
• Decimal degree format, utilized by governing regulatory agencies, offers a standardized approach that can prevent potential confusion.
• Degrees and Decimal Minutes: For a balance between precision and simplicity, your field users may prefer to see their GPS coordinates displayed in degrees and decimal minutes. This is also common usage in certain industries and/or regions.
• Degrees, Minutes, and Seconds: If working in a traditional setting such as nautical or aviation standards (and flight plans!), or an older system, supporting the deg-min-sec format is important. For some, this format may be easier to understand as well, and TrueContext is committed to giving your field techs the easiest and most familiar time possible.
