This article will provide updates to the ongoing TrueContext Google Connection "App is Blocked" error that is shown on new Google connections or upon resetting an existing Google Connection in the TrueContext portal.
September 3, 2024:
Our review with Google is complete and our Google connection is fully operational again. We apologize for the inconvenience this has caused to all affected customers as we worked through the lengthy review process. We are doing a comprehensive review of our communication channels and expectations with Google such that this situation does not happen again. We thank you for your patience and we commit to improving our processes going forward.
August 29, 2024:
The third party has submitted their letter of approval to Google and there is a 5 to6 business day ETA to re-approve our application. We will update again within 5 days or as soon as we hear back from Google.
August 28, 2024:
The third party has completed their assessment of our application and it has passed their thorough review. They will be submitting their letter of approval to Google within the next 1 to 2 business days. Afterwards, Google has an ETA of 5 to 6 business days to re-approve our application.
August 27, 2024:
We remain waiting for the third party to review our application.
August 26, 2024:
Following our previous update, there was an unexpected additional step in the process with the third party vendor. This step was complete on the morning of August 26 and we are back to our ETA of 3 to 4 business days with the third party and an additional 5 to 6 business days with Google.
We apologize for the continued unavailability as we strive to resolve this issue as quickly as possible within the parameters provided by Google.
August 14, 2024:
We are currently working through the second verification step with the Google Verification team and a third-party vendor which is expected to be completed within 3 to 4 business days.
After this step is complete, there is an additional 5-6 business days on the google side to perform their last step.
It’s unfortunate that we need to rely on third parties to return our functionality and we are sorry for this. We will continue to provide updates as we progress through the process.
August 7, 2024:
We are currently working through a verification process with Google for our OAuth connection. Please be assured that all existing connections continue to function securely as we’ve integrated with Google for 10+ years.
Unfortunately, new connections and re-connections of existing connections are currently unavailable. We are working as quickly as possible to progress through a new Google verification process. We have completed an initial step of verification within one week and are in the middle of a second step. Although it’s difficult to provide an ETA on resolution, as we are reliant on Google and another third party, we can commit to updates incrementally and when we receive more clarity on timelines.
We are sorry for the inconvenience this causes and we thank you for your patience.
July 26, 2024:
The process to verify the TrueContext application connection to Google services with the Google Verification team has been started.
