Why Dashboards 2.0?
Adobe has announced to end the support for Flash by December 2020. Many features in Birst require you to run Flash in the internet browser as of now. Birst came up with a Flash Migration Plan. Most important features have been migrated and some are left.
The Dashboards 2.0 uses HTML5 which is faster and more power-efficient than Flash. Now you will be able to experience better response time and graphics.
We are importing all Flash Dashboards to Dashboards 2.0 before end of their life so that you can always access your old reports.
How to Import Old Flash dashboards to Dashboards 2.0
- Go to the space containing the dashboards you want to import
- Go to Dashboards 2.0
- Click Dashboards.
- Click Import Flash Dashboards. All flash dashboards will be copied to the collection with suffix “_imported”
Birst performs a bulk convert of all dashboards it finds in your public folder. If you no longer need a dashboard, consider deleting it, to save time during import.
If you do a bulk import and later want to re-import an original dashboard, change its name. Dashboard names must be unique within a space.
